Our raffia products all come from Madagascar and we are truly fans of this amazing material. The RICE-raffia bag is one of our very first products. A raffia garland like this has been part of our item collection since the very beginning. All of our raffia-products are handmade in a fantastic natural material. Therefore, you will never find two identical raffia products. The raffia fiber comes from palm leaves and all of our raffia-products are made with a heart - they are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar where the production gives a positive contribution to more than 300 locals on the Red Island... Given that Raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handmade, every product is unique and can vary slightly in color and size. To us, it is a part of the charm. The colors will fade if the product is placed in direct sunlight. Avoid contact with water as it can cause the color to stain.
